The Foundations Course - Who For?
A fast-track primer for all new Christians
Although it is primarily designed for new believers, the Foundations Course has a wider application. The session material is a great resource for those who want to consolidate their biblical understanding or to be trained in the art of discipling others.
It is a great sequel for the Discovery Course as the two courses, together, cover all the ground mentioned in the only Biblical passage which refers to 'elementary' (kindergarten) teachings - Hebrews 6:1-2
"Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death,[a] and of faith in God, 2 instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment."
The first two teachings (repentance and faith) have to do with a Christian's past. The second two (baptisms and the laying on of hands) have to do with a Christian's present and the third set (resurrection of the dead and eternal judgement)deal with a Christian's future.(
These are what the Bible defines as a new Christian's first steps!
