Everywhere people are talking about discipleship - intentional discipleship, relational discipleship, one-to-one discipleship, organic discipleship and a host of other terms that have become common in 21st century churches across the world – and rightly so! Discipleship is what we were commissioned to do – no more and no less!

The last command Jesus gave was, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age”. Matthew 28.19-20.

But what does this command of Jesus mean? What is discipleship? Is there a discipleship model in the New Testament? What would it look like in the 21st century? How can we introduce discipleship into our busy church schedule? Is there a curriculum? Where do we start?

The Definitive Discipleship website answers these questions and provides materials to develop Christian disciples in the 21st century.

This is the way of the Master!

“Discipleship isn’t a program or an event; it’s a way of life. It’s not for a limited time, but for our whole life. Discipleship isn’t for beginners alone; it’s for all believers for every day of their life. Discipleship isn’t just one of the things the church does; it is what the church does.”
